As Blackmagic Design released a free version of DaVinci Resolve I had to try it out … like right now. So I uploaded the Technicolor Cinetyle on my 5D(I used to play with Superflat) and went out for a quick video shooting. By the way: sorry for lame content and focusing ;-)
I exposed to the right, which is not a good idea for outdoor filming. The highlight are totally burned, even if the Highlight Tone Priority is enable.
About DaVinci Resolve Lite: it's huge ! I mean really ! It's way much better than other grading solution, even paid software like Apple Colors or Red Giant Colorista. Well it's not easy to handle, contrary to Colorista. But you can get great result using the curves, the Three-way color corrector, and the saturation panels.
Check out the photos for before and after comparison.
