Printing on Fan Blades | Compress UV Printer
The Compress iUV600s is a small format uv printer with a BIG print area and lots of capabilities.
During this video you'll see us print on both sides of a set of fan blades, taking them from the standard white on one side and "wood grain" on the other to something really custom.
We downloaded a graphic of a comic style cityscape , adjusted the colors and saturation to give a different look for all 4 blades. This shows the capabilities of the Designer software that comes with the Compress small format UV printer to print different designs at the same time.
For the other side of the fan blades we first printed a white layer, then over-layed a single botanical graphic over the blades. This means that the patter was distributed across all four fan blades, so each one was the same - but different!
When we searched for how much custom fan blades might sell for we found multiple places to purchase pre-created, off the shelf designs for $65 for a set, but NOWHERE where you could order your own custom set.
With the Compress iUV600s small format uv printer you could print almost any image onto the blades of a fan and many, many other substrates. But think about this application - imagine offering any of the following on blades like this:
