First test footage with Lofton Films inspired 35mm SLR lens as macro lens.
Cheap ebay Konica lens attached to HV30 using an aftermarket 43mm lens hood as bridging plate.
I shot closeups of a random selection of desktop items, a penny, mobile phone and cm ruler, but the macro works surprisingly well, especially when zoomed in to avoid capturing the SLR lens barrel in shot. The last section with the mm markings on the ruler really shows off how close a shot the macro provides.
This technique will be used in a forthcoming short film shoot.
