Nancy was born in Zimbabwe. She talks about her life there, and the reasons for moving to Milton Keynes. Nancy is ‘fiercely patriotic’ in her belief in Milton Keynes, associating the city with happy childhood memories for her children and huge opportunities for herself as a businessperson and broadcaster. She shares the enjoyment she has through her career as a radio broadcaster, working on local radio with her own show ‘Stevens on Sunday’ on Secklow 105.5 FM.
This HLF-funded project celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of Milton Keynes. We interviewed more than 50 people who have made the town their home, who shared their memories, experiences, and hopes for the future. For more information about the project, visit mkpeoplesstories.co.uk
