After the relative success of my New York City city profile I decided to create a follow up time lapse of the city of Toronto. Although I have been to Toronto quite a few times now I was curious as to how the piece would turn out. I felt comfortable shooting the city because I knew of certain landmarks that would photograph well but I was nervous that I would not be able to capture a city that is not my home the same way I did in New York in such a tight time frame. I did a lot of research prior on flickr to try and discover locations I was unaware of and see what kind of shots were possible.

The opening credits were inspired by the recent revival of the GIF by Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg with their very clever cinemagraphs.

I would like to thank my sister and brother in law who are Toronto natives for allowing me to crash at their place for the week and help me out with certain shots. I would also like to give credit to the the ShopDine Sightseeing Tour. Their jump on-jump off bus tour is a great way to take in the city as well as get around for the entire week at an affordable price.
