In this video, organist Katelyn Emerson appears in recording sessions for her second release on the Pro Organo label. Her first Pro Organo release, “Evocations” - Pro Organo CD 7277, preceded her second album recording sessions by about one year. In this new release, Katelyn Emerson plays the "magnum opus" of the Andover Organ Company, its Opus 114, which is installed at Christ Lutheran Church in Baltimore, Maryland. We see Katelyn Emerson playing portions of the Passacaglia from Rheinberger's Eighth Organ Sonata, Opus 132, and portions of a new work for organ by Canadian composer Rachel Laurin, her Finale, Opus 78. We also hear comments from Don Glover, a pipe voicer at Andover Organ Company, about the pathway to the final design and installation of the Opus 114 organ, which was completed in 2008. Producer Frederick Hohman brings his unique style of organ cinematography to bear once more in this latest Pro Organo video from May 2018. The album associated with this video, entitled "Inspirations" - Pro Organo CD 7288, shall be released as both a Compact Disc product and as an MP3 download in mid-summer 2018, and can be accessed, once released, at https//proorgano.com.
