Toronto-based artist Joda Clément has been performing and composingexperimental music in Canada for over 10 years, developing a unique repertoire of methods for working creatively with sound. Joda has performed compositions, improvisation and/or exhibited audio/visual installations in numerous Canadian cities and festivals, New York and
recently in Europe including appearances at The Music Gallery, MOCCA, Issue Project Room (NY), Reheat (Austria), Suoni Per Il Popolo, Extermination Music Night, Electric Eclectics, MUTEK and Oboro New Media Lab, as well as live collaborations with Magali Babin, Michael Northam, Hitoshi Kojo, Olivia Block, Bhob Rainey, Bonnie Jones, Kai Fagaschinski, Chris Cogburn, Tomasz Krakowiak and Freida Abtan, for example.
Pau Torres (born September 7, 1973, Barcelona) is musician who has released several records on Testing
Ground, Frozen Elephant Music and Etude Records. He has played and recorded with musician such as
Mike Hansen, Tomasz Krakowiak, Victor Nubla, Un Caddie renversé dans l´herbe, Chris Worden, Walter
Thompson, Agustí Martínez, Maal Ensemble, Sauna Ensemble and many others. He moved to Toronto in 2008. Additionally, he’s a member of the Quartetto Graphica ensemble, Kamtchatka (with Alfredo Costa Monteiro), Gates, and an unknown duo with Rob Millis(Climax Golden Twins/AFCGT).
Percussionist Tomasz Krakowiak has performed and recorded with artists such as Mike Hansen, John Oswald, Ireneusz Socha, Kaffe Matthews, Mike Snow, Alessandro Bosetti, Ute Völker, Phil Minton, Paul Dutton, John Butcher, Gert-Jan Prins, Pau Torres, and others throughout Europe and North America. He has performed at Musica Genera Festival, Victoriaville FIMAV,
and AudioArt Festival. Influenced by experimental and electroacoustic practices, Krakowiak’s sounds are explorations of different sonoristic drum qualities. He currently lives in Toronto, Canada.
