"A Russian love story divided by history and politics" and created from my MA studies in Russian and Eastern European History, first at San Francisco State University, and then to The University of London.
DASVIDANYA, became my first script written in 1998-1999 in the UCLA Professional Screenwriting Program and was a Semi-finalist at UCLA in 1999.
My London MA work became my script, and the memories of travel in 1990 and 1991 to Moscow, Kiev, Leningrad, Berlin and Bucharest, influenced the characters in my script and then my film made here in Los Angeles.
I want to thank my UCLA classmates and my instructors, for the film which you will see here, along with Professor Anthony D'Agostino, San Francisco State, and my Berkeley mentor, now a Professor in Sociology, UCLA, Gail Kligman, for inspiring me to create and write my story.
