Chances are good that your library uses LCSH (Library of Congress Subject Headings) to describe resources and help users find what they need. Do you know how LCSH are created and revised? If a subject heading is not serving your users well, do you know how to propose a change? This webinar will provide a crash course in the process of submitting LCSH proposals as well as introduce the Cataloging Lab, a wiki where anyone can collaborate to suggest headings additions or revisions. Anyone who is interested in making our shared vocabulary more responsive to users’ needs is welcome!
