Marisa Carnesky: Menstruating Together in Theatres, Tents and Other Unlikely Locations, 1 May 2018

Marisa Carnesky reflects on the background and consequences of her production Dr Carnesky’s Incredible Bleeding Woman (2017, feat. (alt-) cabaret and live artists Fancy Chance, Rhyannon Styles, MisSa Blue, H Plewis, Nao Nagai, Molly Beth Morossa and Priya Mistry), a provocative, rigorously researched tour of Carnesky's research into the importance of celebrating the symbolic and cultural power of menstruation, reinventing menstrual rituals for a new era drawing on the hidden power of a forgotten matriarchal past.
