I recently replaced the SmoothieBoard controller in UMMD with a Duet Ethernet board and a Panel Due touchscreen interface. After days of configuring, I finally have it ready for fine tuning. This is the first test print, just to get some idea of how far away from the target it is. I used a lot of the configuration parameters from the Smoothieboard, so it is pretty close to final configuration without tweaking anything.
Compare the noise level in this video to any of the other videos of this machine printing. It's not silent, but it is a LOT quieter with the Duet board because is uses 16:1 ustepping interpolated to 256:1.
