Shooting a scene from Paula Longendyke's film,
CONTINENTAL DRIFT (1977)
— Premiered at the Anthology Film Archives 2015
Filmmaker Paula Longendyke illustrates the theory of continental drift by gathering up some friends, strapping Styrofoam continents to their backs, and then watching all the excitement as India slams into Asia.
This newly discovered super-8 film captures a film shoot, a day at the pool, and a group of young artists having a lot of fun. Featuring Betsy Sussler, Kiki Smith, James Nares, Andrea Callard, Tim Burns and Mindy Stevenson Olson (as the continents); and Paula Longendyke, Jacki Ochs, Chris Hegedus, Bill Brand and Phillip Frazier (as crew).
