My first film, (Co-Producer) featuring Kenneth Branagh, PaulMcGann, Sam West and Sanjeev Bhaskar. A 30 minute live action short shot at Elstree and screened on the BBC. I met my mentor, Academy lifetime achievement and BAFTA award-winning cinematographer Jack Cardiff on this film, he was DP in his 80s, and also two other AA winners who were advisors, the kind and gentle sound man (Bridge over the River Kwai and many other films) John Mitchell, and designer John Box. It tells the previously hidden story of the Hindu involvement in WW1. It won many awards including an Academy Award Finalist (the short list before nomination) and had 100-year-old Sikh generals in tears when it was screened in London.
