Research scientist at MIT’s SENSEable City Lab and head of their Network and Society project. His research centers on the digital datasets produced by mobile communication devices and other networked devices that can gather and/or transmit data, and how this can be used to understand the social and physical fabric of urban environments. He has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Computer and System Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy.
