Opened in North Boulder in 2011 by Chef & Proprietor Alec Schuler, and now with two locations, Tangerine creates innovative takes on traditional morning fare. The menu is rich with natural quality and focused on fresh products. It’s an American brunch/lunch format with a healthy and Mediterranean twist. Everything is made to order except for bread and some meats. Opened by Chef Alec Schuler as the younger sister restaurant to Arugula Restaurant, Tangerine has always been in the conversation for Boulder’s best breakfast and brunch restaurant. In 2018, one month after closing his fine dining Italian/Mediterranean restaurant Arugula, the second Tangerine was born in Old Town Lafayette. Tangerine was created with Alec’s “finer Euro Mediterranean food mindset”, using only the best ingredients and cooked to ordered. The extensive and varied breakfast/brunch menu is served all day every day plus a great lunch menu featuring Big Salads & Sandwiches offered Monday thru Friday 11am to 2:30pm. Using the fine beans of Boulder’s Conscious Coffees we also proudly offer a world class espresso drinks experience.
