On June 9, 2011 fighting began in Kachin State, Burma marking the end to a 17-year ceasefire. As many as 30,000 Kachin civilians have been displaced from their homes. Partners Relief & Development is providing food and basic survival items to around 4,000 people as of July 20, 2011. Those currently displaced can be separated into 3 groups: internally displaced with ethnic government support, internally displaced without support and neighboring country refugees without support. We are supporting communities that fall into the second and third categories. This film primarily addresses the situation for the first and third groups.
