This video shows a topology prediction for Batten's disease protein, CLN3. We predict it to have 6 transmembrane helices, with a cytoplasmic N-terminal and a re-entrant helix. The topology was determined by taking a consensus approach using a number of predictive methods constrained by experimental data. I used KPovModeler to generate the 3D model, then rendered each frame on our Linux cluster using PovRay.
