MASTERS & SAVANT DELIVERS A TWIST

SMIRNOFF VODKA IS AN EDGY BRAND AND HAS MAINTAINED ITS STANCE AS SUCH IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN MARKET FOR SOME TIME. HOWEVER, WHILST MAINTAINING THIS BRAND PRESENCE AND IDENTITY, SMIRNOFF WANTED TO REACH OUT TO A MORE 'VIBRANT' TARGET MARKET.
Masters & Savant ensured that Smirnoff's particular style and brand ethos was not lost in the animation of the recent competition promo they put together to launch the Smirnoff "Twist of Fate" competition.

The three spots are for Smirnoff's latest addition - Smirnoff twist. The mechanic behind the promos involved placing 3 20-foot containers at key locations around South Africa, namely in Cape Town, "Masters & Savant developed a very clean and pared down "Information graphics" style, using crisp Smirnoff white and the brand colours of the different Smirnoff Twist flavours. We then crafted transitions to get from one key point in the story to the next - trying to keep the transitions and story as surprising as possible in line with the campaign" comments co-founder, Roger Smythe.

Conn Bertish, Creative Director of JWT had this to say, "We were very happy with the quality of animation on this job. Masters & Savant rock and rolled, as they tend to do, and the primo quality can be seen in the work produced."
