Joy Towles Ezell is a model for citizen activists everywhere who want to take-on the polluters causing climate change and other environmental degradation. She believes that anyone can do what she does, and shares some of her secrets.

Joy has appeared on CBS’ 60 Minutes, in CNN’s award-winning features on pulp mill pollution: "The Smell of Money", and "What Price White Paper?" and in the Australian Broadcasting Commission’s "Clean Up The World" feature stories. Her community’s story was told in the book "Soap Opera," written by Alecia Swazy, and in "The War Against the Greens" and in "Blue Frontier" by David Helvarg.

Joy Towles Ezell is the founder and leader of local environmental groups: HOPE (Help Our Polluted Environment) in Taylor County, FL; Friends of the Fenholloway River; and founder and VP of TRUE – Taylor Residents United for the Environment. She is a founder and VP of the Environmental Alliance of North Florida. She is the President of the Florida League of Conservation Voters and is co-chair of Floridians Against Incinerators In Disguise.
