On July 26, 2011, the Martin County Board of County Commissioners heard a proposal to increase signage to promote current tobacco free and tobacco litter policies within the county. The proposal was the work of a local coalition consisting of the Tobacco Free Partnership of Martin County, Martin County Students Working Against Tobacco, Keep Martin Beautiful, Communities Putting Prevention to Work, Martin County Parks and Recreation Board, and the Quit Doc Research and Education Foundation. The Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt and implement the proposal. This video shows the entire presentation and the unanimous vote.
