ELEMENTS brings the creative experience of dance together with the innovative character of neurosensing and motion tracking technology.
Through the use of a Brain-Computer Interface - BCI, participants are able to generate in real time unique visuals from their own brainwaves, and sounds from the movement of their bodies - MTI (Motion Tracking Interface). This art-tech workshop mixes the physical and digital into an immersive phygital experience.
Elements has been designed to develop the potential we all hold for creativity and collective work. It also engages on participants’ intuitive and rational ways of interconnecting, challenging so their social behaviour and relation with the environment.
Elements workshops has been given to corporations and institutions like Toyota, Danone, The London Business School, Trendwolves, Mime Centrum, and the festival Wear It.
How it works?
Participants begin by warming up, stretching and learning basic elements of Contemporary Dance. They are then fitted with the neuro-wearable and split into teams to develop different situational scenes, experiencing immersive sensations - as for example, being into the element of water. In such dynamics, participants get to interact and react to one another.
At the end of the session, the different groups perform their creations, while generating sound and visuals from their collective motion.
A video clip of the short performances is uploaded on the event page to be shared.
