When Hovde came across Mudzini Kwetu, they had laid the foundation for a new, larger home next to the current one, but they lacked funds to continue. Hovde decided to fund the remainder of the home. This new Hovde House will accommodate up to 60 girls.
In the spring of 2011, the new Hovde House was opened. The home presently houses 35 abandoned girls, with the capacity to house 60. New girls will be added in a manner that will protect the sisterly atmosphere the girls in the house already share.
