How do we ensure balance between humans and nature? What instruments do we have at our disposal and how does this reflect on a future that we can look forward to with more awareness and greater sensitivity?
Hear the increadible story of Bas Timmer, founder of Sheltersuit Foundation, interviewed by Gabrielle Kennedy for the project Human Nature, designing the equilibrium.
The Sheltersuit is a water- and windproof coat that can easily be transformed into a sleeping bag, providing full-body protection. Without having any refuge to turn to, people constantly struggle to survive the cold across the world. "We believe that everyone at all times deserves protection, dignity and warmth. That’s why Sheltersuits are given away for free."
Under the title Human Nature, designing the equilibrium, eleven designers will answer questions about a future in which Humankind and Nature enter into a new relationship.
