“Museum Art of Light” is a free and permanent artistic platform emplaced at the banks of Mapocho River and developed as an artistic projection iluminated -in large formats- through high tech projectors.
The museum has emerged as an iniciative of visual artist Catalina Rojas- creator of mural “Chile in Light” aiming to reinforce public art, inviting to national and foreign artists to create new proposals to enrich the “Art of Light”, a work born to recover (sometimes forgotten) urban spaces and environments with the intention of creating a spot where will converge cultural heritage and contemporary art with the community “Museum Art of Light” Technical Sheet Emplacement: Mapocho River. From “Pío Nono Bridge” to “Patronato Bridge”. Extension Lenght: 1 kilometer. Equipment: 26 hi-tech light projectors with 4 gobos (with previously digitalized paintings in slides) with a total capacity of 104 images each. Schedule: Every night (monday to sunday) for 4 continuous hours.
