FRANSJE GIMBRERE in collaboration with ACOSORB
The idea for the Acoustic Sculptures collection came after designer Fransje Gimbrère contacted Acosorb. Gimbrère, always looking for innovative materials and revolutionary applications, was curious about the material and what effect this would have on her creations. Just like Acosorb, Gimbrère not only stands out in terms of innovation and quality, but also that of sustainability. Very enthusiastic about the results, this collaboration led to the FRANSJE GIMBRÈRE x ACOSORB Acoustic Sculptures collection.
During the Fuorisalone 2018 in Milan the sculptures will be international premiering in 'BAR ANNE'.
The special collaboration between Fransje Gimbrère and Acosorb is also getting an international sequel now that Acosorb is one of the partners of 'BAR ANNE' during the prestigious Salone del Mobile Milan. In this bar the most promising young Dutch design talents are given the chance to show their work. One of the acoustic sculptures by Fransje Gimbrère x Acosorb will also be on display here.
'BAR ANNE' is located at the Corso di Porta Ticinese 95 in Milan and can be visited during the design fair.
ABOUT FRANSJE GIMBRÈRE
Fransje Gimbrère (1993) graduated in 2017 for her bachelor Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Born and raised in the textile city of Tilburg, her graduation project was also devoted to this material, but not in the traditional sense. Her ambition to show textiles in a completely different way led to 'Standing Textile(s), a startling series of gossamer furniture made of woven and cured natural and synthetic textiles, with which she was immediately in the spotlight during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.
Acosorb has set itself the goal of setting a new standard for seamless acoustic spraying and plastering with strong sound-absorbing properties. Founder and general manager Caspar ter Bille can boast over twelve years of experience and has already carried out numerous successful projects around the world, from Germany to Hong Kong. In the Netherlands, Acosorb's products have been used in the A'DAM Tower, Amazon and Google in Amsterdam, De Rotterdam in Rotterdam and the Marriot Hotel in Breda. Acosorb develops and produces all products under its own management and is Cradle to Cradle Certified ™.
