This film is a compilation of footage I shot over the 4th of July weekend at Lake Quinault in the Olympic National Rainforest (also some footage from Ocean Shores and Lake Sammamish). The Olympic rainforest is home to some of the largest trees in the world, including two that you'll see in the video: a 191' tall Sitka Spruce with a circumference of 58' 11", and a 174' tall Western Red Cedar with a 19.5' diameter (the footage inside of a tree is the Red Cedar).

It's a truly beautiful place and hopefully I was able to capture that with this film. A special thank you goes out to the beautiful lady that brought me along and put up with all my stopping and shooting during our hikes.

Technical note: I would have liked to use some of the audio (especially from the water), but much of it was ruined due to the wind. I wish I had my Rode VideoMic Pro prior to the trip.
