Double Action (2010) is a performance conceived by the visual artist Mathilde ter Heijne, with Jen Ray, that examines the effectiveness of magic and rituals today. The central element of the performance is money. The audience was engaged in the performance through spells such as “Money Paper Currency Spell”, in which money designed by artists was handed out to the audience, or “Anti-Poverty Spell”, in which ribbons linked audience members with a central performer on an altar. This performance was shown at Georg Kolbe Museum, Berlin in 2010 and at the exhibition "Any Day Now" at Kunsthalle Nürnberg, also in 2010.
