Gardening Robotic Wanderer
GRoW visits urban landscapes that have been damaged by industry and left vacant. The soil is typically rocky and heavily impacted by large machinery and no doubt polluted. Though a few hardy plants do take root they tend to grow sparsely and as a whole the sites lack biodiversity. GRoW helps nature return the land to a productive state by dumping compost to build rich soil and distributing wildflower seeds to increase biodiversity. This video documents initial visits to a few sites. GRoW is fully autonomous, but requires a human to refill seed and compost.
