Thanks to the generosity of DARN's Dick McKay, K6VGP, and Mike Lee, K6MJU, members of the Ventura County Amateur Radio Emergency Data Network (AREDN), the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) NW in collaboration with ARES NE, deployed two 5G Ubiquiti sector antennas pointing SW and SE to greater Los Angeles from the six-thousand foot Mt. Wilson DARN location potentially connecting dozens of new stakeholders to this unique emergency network.
