this is the story of over 200 years old and still existing brand: 4711. the name is a symbolic derivation of a original house number of the company in cologne & it is the most famous eau de cologne of the world. the term 'eau de cologne' was transfered from the original brands title 'koelsch wasser' (the water of cologne) which, carried out into the world, was taken over by all the fragrance producer to mark this special perfume making process.
this campaign marks the new chapter in the companies history, celebrating the 220 years of existence with the hugest campaign since. with the launch of the new 'old' scent - 4711 nouveau cologne is re-definding the traditional product, targeting the younger market.
the main carrier of this first campaign since 3 years is the beautiful underwater spot shot by director matthias zentner and produced by local cologne production house palladium.
