The reality of receiving power for witnesses is in Luke 24;18-49 and Act 1:8. Jesus says that “You are witnesses of these things. And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth."
In every life, there are always pains and sufferings. Carrying our daily cross brings us closer to God. It unlocks the key towards starting a true, gentle and respectful relationship. The power of God is shared to us when we repent, obey and pray. In baptism, we receive the Holy Spirit but one must activate it to make it happen. Finally, receiving the gift depends upon us on how to discover God’s will for us in accomplishing the purpose for which he created us.
Let us pray.
Father, may I pray for the spirit, until I received the new Pentecost, the power from up high. May the acts of the apostle, be the acts of my life. We ask this, In Jesus Christ name. Amen.
