The Global Migration Film Festival empowers women victim of human trafficking in Madagascar. A group of Malagasy women victims of human trafficking overcame their fear to speak out and spent four days directing and filming their real stories of forced-marriage and domestic slavery.
The Festival’s team of facilitators trained the participants using Participatory Video (PV) methodology that, beyond producing a final product, is a process that catalyzes self-reflection, self-recognition, transformation and change. This short video brings the behind the scenes of this process and short testimonials with some of their stories.
At the end of the year, during the 3rd edition of the Global Migration Film Festival, an international version will be screened around the world.
