Wedding days are such joyful events for all. It's one of the very few moments in life where all the people you care for are in the one location, and words are often expressed on a wedding day that may not be publically stated again. It's a tremendous privilege to capture every couples story and the celebration of their partnership.
Casey + Mel were married in Swan Hill, and whilst it was quite a drive for this Yarra Valley based videographer, it certainly was worth it and such an enjoyable day. Working alongside Cassie from Koko Photography was such a treat and a half, capturing the candidness and bubbly natures of Casey, Mel and their bridal party.
The morning kicked off for the boys with brekkie in town, followed by suiting up in their Cruiz Clothing. Casey and the ladies were in the final stages of hair + makeup on my arrival, by La Beaute Beauty Salon, before the time soon came for Casey to get into her stunning Jane Hill bridal gown complimented with florals by Mack & Mills (who also styled the reception).
Onwards to the historic Murray Downs Homestead, the weather was touch and go, to the extent the ceremony was delayed briefly after a downpour of rain. However, it seemed the weather gods were on the side of love today - as soon as Casey arrived, as clear blue skies illuminated the remainder of the celebrations from the moment Casey + Mel said: "i do".
Casey + Mel were taking everything in their stride throughout the entire day, which made my job as their filmmaker an absolute breeze. So many natural and candid moments were captured which reflected how much they love one another and were each other's perfect counterpart.
As the reception kicked into gear at Pental Island Caravan Park, family and friends from afar gathered and celebrated long into the night, with the music tunes of Acoustic Music Trio - guests dancing underneath the stars all night long (well, except for a brief downpour).
Thanks so much Casey + Mel for a fun day.
