A Study of the End Times - Revelation PM # 19 - The Two Witnesses 07/15/2018
I imagine to some degree the anti-christ thinks he has won at this stage of Revelation. He controls a good part of the world through his growing world government and though the Jews were a thorn in his religious side, they have now left Jerusalem and he’s moved his political capital there.
But then seemingly out of nowhere, two old fashioned preachers appear in Jerusalem, not only talking openly about Jesus as the Messiah but that the anti-christ is nothing more than satan’s puppet. And that Jesus is coming soon.
There’s nothing that ruins the wicked’s day like a Bible believing man or woman who isn’t afraid to tell people about the Lord.
*Noah wasn’t ever invited to the socially elite get-to-gethers but preached of coming judgment.
*Moses ruined Pharaoh’s day at the river when he turned it to blood telling him God was going to judge
*Elijah was called “he that troubleth Israel” by Ahab because Elijah preached against Jezebel
*Jonah upset Nineveh when he walked in bleached white and harshly told them judgment was coming.
*John the Baptist didn’t make friends when he pointed out that Herod was living in adultery
*Stephen the deacon had rocks thrown at him when he told the Jews they had crucified the Messiah
*The Apostle Paul was run out of town when he had people burn their idols and witchcraft items
