Elisa’s main inspiration was derived from “post digital” artworks – appearing graphical in nature but yet, they are entirely handmade. She was also keen to focus on the element of repetition, which is something her precious installations had included. Each cone was constructed of cardboard and was strategically placed in close proximity to each other, creating a ‘pixel like effect. This effect took the shape of the Id logo and associated it with a fresh, contemporary style.Elisa spent two full days (and nights) of non stop circle cutting and cone making, to make a total of 535 cones for the entire piece. In the end, she even dreamt about the cones! – An acceptable side effect given the satisfaction upon finishing and achieving such fantastic results.
