This five minute video is a faster paced section of A Body in Fukushima, a video work entirely consisting of still photos shot by William Johnston. Performed, costumed, edited, sound score and texts by Eiko.
She first created seven and a half hour video to accompany her full three day performance at the Metropolitan Museum in the fall of 2017.
The work was reconcieved as a stand alone installation work that is four and a half hour long. Both includes photos from collaborators' four visits(2014-2017) to irradiated Fukushima after the triple disaster in 2011, earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdowns.
