Voting begins tomorrow in the City of Las Cruces’ General Obligation (GO) Bond Election for life-enhancing projects for our community. Tomorrow, is also the last day to register to vote in the $35.6 million special election. Each registered voter in Las Cruces will receive a ballot in the mail. To provide residents more information about the election, the City of Las Cruces held a news conference this morning with Mayor Ken Miyagishima, Doña Ana County Clerk Scott Krahling, Las Cruces Fire Chief Eric Enriquez, Parks & Recreation Director Sonya Delgado, Paul Richardson with the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley, businesswoman Marci Dickerson, and parent Sumer Rose Nolen.
Ballots, mailed or hand-delivered, must be received at the county clerk’s office by 7 p.m. on August 21. Accessible voting is also available. More information is available at clcbond.org.
