Max Robinson, a charming and generous man with a deep affection for the culture of design, has contributed substantially to its depth and texture over his multi decade career. Apart from his own body of work, Max writes significantly about other designers and was inducted into the AGDA Hall of Fame himself in 2010. In 2011, he presented at the State of Design Festival in tandem with his work featuring in MIFF 60: The Graphic Art of The Melbourne International Film Festival.
The film is a five minute snapshot of an hour long conversation recorded in late 2010 and gives insight into how this passionate design practitioner thinks, approaches his craft (and his clients).
The Conversations with Designers film series is an initiative designed to heighten the profile of Australian graphic designers both domestically and internationally, act as an educational tool, demonstrate that designers are specialised strategic thinkers and finally, to become an archive of our design community. The full transcript of each interview is available on the AGDA website.
