"The statues speak of memory and time..." is the invocation to this impressionistic view of the famous/timeless classics inside the Louvre Museum (Paris) and the performance artist outside the museum.
This strange meditation on time, space, and the meanings of 'being mortal' (and captured in an image) features features a blend of motion time-smear` VFX and and stereoscopic 3-dimensional composition. The motion time-smear VFX was adapted specifically by A. R. to these experimental subjects and resulted in images in motion becoming 2D whereas when the subject image was 'still' it became 3D again.
Released as a separate 3D shot film - field alternating NTSC 3D, it is also contained within 'FRANCE 1997'
