The music video for Sonny Pete's "Bleeding the Walls" from the album Where the Shadows Pass (Odes to Death & Transience). Directed by Richard Ruggiero. Shot with Super 8mm film...
The video for my song "Bleeding the Walls" was shot in September on the coast of Rhode Island amidst the squalls of Hurricane Earl by my good friend, and filmmaker, Richard Ruggiero with his Super 8mm handheld film camera. It's conceived as Sonny Pete's amble along a sandy road when some pretty strange things start to happen (think: stop-motion Day of the Dead dolls).
I can say that on more than one occasion production was halted by the heavy rain and wind. One instance in particular found us (fortuitously) riding to shelter in the bed of a park ranger's pickup truck. The date of filming, slave to our own schedules, was not meant to face such inclement weather (at least I'd like to think we weren't that foolish), but I can't help but feel the result benefited from the ominous environment around us. You'll see soon enough.
