The video is showcasing the use of normal mapping for laser scanned monuments. The model on the left is the original 455000 polygons model. The model on the right has been downsized uniformly with Meshlab and normal mapped in Blender resulting in a 12700 polygons model. That is about 3% of the original size! The 3D model is part of the Erechtheion, one of the four main monuments of the Athens Acropolis.
