A time lapse of the setup, half-time show rehearsals, game and strike for Super Bowl XLII (42) at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots. Photos start with the field rolling into the stadium (about four days before kickoff), and continue until the field rolls out, about three days after the game.
Right after the field rolls in, "extravaganza seating" is installed which expands the capacity of University of Phoenix stadium for major events by nearly 5,000 seats. The stands are disassembled before the field can be rolled out after the game, and stored outside the stadium until the next major playoff or college bowl game.
Tom Petty played the halftime show, and several rehearsals two days before the game feature the band with full lighting and effects.
This was one of two cameras rolling for the event. The second, a lower angle from the south-west goal line can be seen here: vimeo.com/14848274
