Unmanned Life has achieved the first milestone in testing and deploying autonomous sorting in Europe for Swiss Post, a major Postal Operator. The project was a success: on-time, on-budget and over-delivering the agreed KPIs. The autonomous sorting solution was designed and deployed in 3 months, and we expect it to be fully operational by end of 2018.
Sorting is performed by 4 autonomous mobile robots that execute the sorting process from A (unsorted) to B (sorted). The system is fully flexible and scalable. You can add capacity by adding mobile robots and change input or output directions at will without the need for further infrastructure deployment. It is an asset-light system that can be deployed anytime and anywhere, moved from one location to another, and collaborate with humans without any risk.
The Unmanned Life software delivered a 0% error rate.
