Chaired by Dr. Mashelkar, the Practitioner Session in Pune became a platform for a very rich discussion on the innovation ecosystem in India. Hosted by the NCL Venture Center, this session had a very interesting mixture of academics, entrepreneurs and innovators - both in the panel as well as in the participant group.
Watch a quick excerpt of the session and interviews with some of the Panelists.
It was suggested by a participant that the Marico Innovation Foundation open up an Award category for early stage ideas and concepts, for Start-up organizations to apply for the Awards. Currently the Innovation for India Awards are for established and demonstrated projects/ models. Dr. Mashelkar agreed that this is something that the Innovation Council would consider when they meet next.
