My collection of stills and time-lapses of Lake Carnarvon
Lake Carnarvon is perched right on the Great Divide east of the Highwood Pass. This trip involved mountain biking/hiking/chain-scrambling. When we pulled ourselves up the chains anchored to the headwall and crested the top we were blasted by a strong wind coming across the lake. We fought our way to the far (west) side of the lake and found an oasis. Only a slight warm breeze and calm clear water in front of us. The color reminded me of beaches tropical and we could clearly see many fish swimming about in the shallows. Perfect place for a swim
