This is a quick video of Kevin holding a newly hatched baby sea turtle. This baby, and approx 300 others, will be released tonight (and every night during "season").
Cancun has a GREAT preservation program, where they "harvest" the nests each night and morning, then put them in protected hatchery areas. Then, when they are ready to hatch, the (Federal) Lifeguards and resort staff members dig them up and hold them for release.
They solicit tourists/visitors to help in the release - thus educating a whole new generation of folks to helping protect these gentle creatures.
