This animation is about life, evolution, death, and rebirth. It has four one minute chapters, each based on a different color. Below is a vague approximation of each one's meaning:
1. Blue: Undifferentiated being (sorta like god as defined as unstructured all-ness).
2. Red: Infancy, sub-aquatic consciousness, pre-terrestrial life.
3. Green: Life in full bloom, love, youth.
4. Black: Routine, death and transcendence.
The soundtrack was made by me, mostly with the kaosilator.
This work was originally created to be projected onto a specific location- a staircase. This is the original reason for the title, and also the photographic imagery that appears at the beginning the first (and end of the last) scenes. I believe the staircase motif works nicely to discuss the possibility (as in Buddhism) of transcending the endless cycle of rebirth.
