Lou Capozzola. Born in the Bronx, New York in 1950, and passed away at age 61 in 2011. Lou worked for over thirty years in the sports photography field. In his early years he assisted most of the great sports photographers at Sports Illustrated magazine. He went on to become a contributing photographer for Sports Illustrated and Upper Deck and quickly developed the skill for capturing the essence of any event he covered. His working passion was covering ice hockey but his love of people and family along with his great smile and his sense of humor is what he will be most remembered for.
