This is shot on RED with a 100mm Zeiss Standard Speed prime lens shooting at T4/5.6 split. Light is single source from a 2k tungsten Mole sweep positioned about 7 feet from the subject as a back 3/4 key.
Unfortunately the digital compression will make this harder to evaluate, but based on full quality originals I like the 1/2 warm pro mist pretty well. I didn't have one to test, but a #1 Warm soft fx would probably have a nice effect. I think the main thing to learn from the heavier filters is it exaggerates what's actually going on with the more subtle ones so you get a better idea of the effect if you are unfamiliar with it.
