Two identical algorithms each control a side of the face, but as one is slightly faster in its execution, phase shift patterns are generated. As an artwork it has similarities to early tape loop experiments of for example Steve Reich, but then mostly visual. This is not to say that the audio is not important. The setup with a synthetic voice emanating from the sides of the face, acoustically merge into creating an interesting concatenation of phonemes, resulting in new unexpected sometimes non-existant words.
